Three Sobering Notes About China - The Atlantic

James Fallows on China. The part about surveillance is interesting, especially the video he's posted. He closes it up with an "essay question"--what will it mean for a rapidly developing (yet still "developing") nation like China to be so ambitious yet so obstructive? His extra-credit assignment:

"analyze the consequences to future high-value industries of preventing your nation's people from using Google."

Nice.
